Summary
“I will make a pyre for him,” Anderson spoke across the cabin, pulling the Creature from his musings. His attention drifted to the Captain to find him watching over the corpse solemnly, like he too mourned him with what brief time they knew each other. “Or grant him a burial at sea, once we break the ship off the ice. Perhaps the pyre would make for a more reverent parting.”
The Creature couldn't argue with that. He thought the idea bittersweet, to be set ablaze on a bed of timber, the elements taking root of skin and flesh and bone, until one becomes but ash and wind.
For dust thou art, and unto dust thou shalt return.

In a queer turn of events, the one whom Victor Frankenstein once called his enemy, the wretched Creature whom he himself crafted in the throes of madness, would become his companion, reclining in a steaming bath, in a quaint little Genevan flat, Victor's hands gently scrubbing his scalp, lathering his hair.
There had only been fondness between creation and creator since those frigid days in the Arctic. And with him, he shared a highly intimate rapport.

Summary
Then lightning struck again, rain downpouring against the window as light flashed. And briefly Victor saw it.
His Creature held the robe snug to his body. He held one end of it against his cheek, near his nose, like he'd been searching for a scent. The other end was stretched downward, the Creature straddling it between his legs.
Oh. Oh, his sweet boy.
Relief washed over Victor, knowing he hadn't once again struck fear into his Creature's heart, but rather something else entirely. Victor had half a mind to tell the Creature that he knew precisely what he was doing, that such carnal desires of the flesh were only natural, yet he feared that wouldn't yet soothe the Creature, not now, when he was so vulnerable.
“My son, what has frightened you?” Victor asked kindly, resting a hand on the Creature's shoulder. Victor's heart broke when, for a moment, the Creature flinched beneath the touch. “Oh, I know. The storm, isn't it?”

Summary
The Creature smiled, scanning over Victor's form. He had not seen quite this much of it at once before. Besides recently tending to his wounds, he had only ever beheld Victor's bare chest when he first awoke in the lab. There was a spark of intimacy between them then, a brief moment, when Victor in his delight pressed his ear to the Creature's chest, the two skin-to-skin. The Creature felt, then, an innate instinct to wrap his arms around Victor, who was much smaller than him, in the mere imitation of an embrace.
He longed for that moment again— sunlight and soft touches and eyes that gazed upon him not with anger, but brimming with tears of pure gladness.
Presently, however, Victor stirred again. He nuzzled his head against The Creature's hand, his hip arching upward to meet the touch of the other.
The Creature's heart stuttered. It seemed Victor, in his fevered state, longed for the same thing.
