Satoru takes another step forwards, arms spreading wide in excitement, “Yūji-kun! You’re here!”
“Oh my God,” the child repeats breathlessly, sounding far older than any child his age should sound, unable to tear his eyes away from Satoru. The boy shakes faintly, shock maybe, words a shaky exhale, “it’s really- you’re- you look- this is— oh my God!”
Annnnd there’s really no doubting it now.
Clearly those vivid dreams of war, imprisonment and eleven years of growing up is not the dream Satoru had thought it to be since waking up in the infirmary as a seventeen-year-old student, way back before the source of all his problems defected from Jujutsu society.

Summary
As Yuji looked out through the window of Sukuna’s Clan, bound and imprisoned, he wondered what went wrong.
All he ever wanted was to help people, growing up he’d help old people cross the road, help a neighbor with babysitting, and defend classmates against bullies to name a few.
Yuji never expected anything back, his grandfather always taught him to be kind to others, to be better than him.
He even decided to give up his life to consume all of Sukuna’s fingers so everyone could live peacefully after he died.
If so, why was he the only one that remained?
Why was he the only one alive?
It wasn't fair, he’d tell himself, everyone else was supposed to be alive and living happily.
Yuji just wanted to see everyone again, give himself up so they could live the lives they deserved.
Then, one day, Yuji had his chance.

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”
