“Till! Good afternoon.” Ivan greeted him, exactly how he would greet him on any other day. Seeing how Till was holding the window open, Ivan let himself in, feet landing in the room with the precision of a raven.
“You don’t look so good, have you eaten today, Till? It’s a shame I didn’t bring any food today.” He stepped forward analyzing the shorter boy’s figure.
Till flinched back, his heart beating so hard it felt as if it was going to break his ribs.
“You’re not real..” He forced the words out of a dry throat, His voice hardly reaching above a whisper.
OR
Ivan’s dead. Buried deep (enough) under the ground and left to rot. Except, the very next day; he’s back.

Till takes the piece of paper by a corner, ripping it off his locker, the tape coming off with it. He spares it one final look before crumbling it up, promptly shoving it into the pockets of his jeans, saving it for when he comes across a trashcan. Must’ve been one of Ivan’s friends who put it up on his locker just to spite him.
Till doesn’t know Ivan—but he knows enough to not like him.
He’s in his grade, a senior. Straight A student, president of the school’s Key Club and valued member of the student council, the football team, and the fucking choir too. He’s tall and athletic and—okay, Till will admit it—a little above average in the looks department. The girls seem to like him, anyway.
All of this to say: the fucker is popular—and he also just happens to be best buds with some of the banes of Till’s existance.or
Till is the punk musician outcast, and Ivan is the student council footballer—they couldn't be any more different, and yet...

When a homophobic jock from Ivan’s team threatens to out Mizi, her proposed solution is simple, fake-date Ivan to scare the jerk off. Till watches the entire shitshow with two conclusions in mind:
1. Ivan and Mizi were the two biggest morons on campus.
2. The only thing worse than their acting was that Ivan just had to "practice" for dates with Till.

It was very much giving date. It was giving she's going to need to lay down on the floor for a bit, contemplating if she should just end it all right now—right here.She blinked. Then blinked again. Then zoomed in on the picture.
Mizi was smiling.
Ivan was not dead.
