Summary
Can two broken people in a broken world find the life worth living that they both dream about?
Joel changes his mind about lying to Ellie but getting her trust back isn't a simple thing. It's not simple when Ellie's emotional state is crumbling, haunted by past traumas and new nightmares. It's not simple as she grapples with what her life and her immunity mean after what Joel did. And it's not simple when Joel's feelings for Ellie turn out to be more complicated--and less acceptable--than he ever wanted to let himself realize.
Can Joel and Ellie bring down the many barriers between them to find love and healing, things they crave from each other, in a town that has strong opinions on what they're supposed to mean to each other?
Picks up right after Joel and Ellie move to Jackson and uses aspects of TLoU2 but diverges greatly.
