Voices cut through the violent waves crashing against wood. A cradle of chaos carrying a ship through its journey across the sea. The captain and his crew were not having a great time, well who would anyway?
Barks of commands were carried and done with heavy effort as the rocking of the ship had it's close calls, then, as if it wasn't enough for a storm, a tsunami was heading their direction.
And as any other ship that meets a larger body of water, there's little chance that the ship survived, much less their crew.
But when Wifies hacks up a lung of water and finds himself in a no man's island, what's he gonna do?

Summary

But one generation changes that. A missing piece of paper was all it took to send everything into chaos. Derek Hutchins is destined to fail, inadvertently at the hands of his own great-great-grandfather.

Derek grabs him by the face, looking into his eyes. Avery let out a small squeak. “Avery.” He said quietly. “That’s not a child. That’s the King in Yellow.”
Avery freezes. Slowly, painfully, he turns his head back to the child in the onesie. There’s something about those eyes. Familiar. He only saw them once but… there had been quite a lot of them. A bit unforgettable.

What if the King did get Avery as his vessel by making a deal to save Derek if he cooperated, but something went wrong and, instead of the King taking control, they merge into a new entity...one that is a little more than a bit infatuated with a certain Lord.
