He barrels into her so hard they stumble. He wraps his arms around her, curls around her like they can merge into each other if he just tries hard enough. Like he can protect her this time.
“Mike? What are you doing? Mike-”
El’s chin on his shoulder, her hands at his sides, giving a gentle but no less frantic push to detangle them.
Mike shakes his head, “Please don’t leave me El. Please don’t leave us. You can’t. You can’t.”
There’s a sob and he’s not sure if it’s his or hers, but it doesn’t matter. Mike only holds on tighter. El doesn’t move from the gate. So, Mike doesn’t either.

"It touched you," Loki says.
Loki remembers the cold touch on his arm years ago. Watching his arm turn blue.
The soldier looks up, pained expression giving way to shock with a little bit of awe (not hatred, for once not hatred) lighting up his eyes. He has blue eyes. They are….pretty.
"It's fine," he says and although his voice is breathless, it is pleasant, "Doesn't even hurt anymore."
(It would be nice to think that he’d never think of the soldier again. That he had met him once and then all else would be forgotten.
He would be lying to himself. )Or Loki falls head over heels for a soldier. It comes with a lot more than he expected.

“How did you find me?” asked the Doctor.
“I know someone,” Bill said. “And I got a map to the jedi temple. You’re not completely off the record. Also, your spaceship gives you away. Was it meant to blend into the rocks? Because if it was its doing a really bad job.”
“Don’t insult her like that,” The Doctor said, voice softening in offense on the ship’s behalf.
His tone takes Bill by surprise but she keeps going, “She’s old. She needs a new paint job. And I’d reckon few repairs.”
The Jedi master’s furry eyebrows rose and he broke out into a pointed grin, “Are you offering?”
“Er-no, sorry. I’m not a mechanic.”
“Then stop criticizing my ship!”
“Sorry,” Bill said and then added, “I’m just saying-“
“Well don’t say!”
“And why are you hiding out here anyway? This place, its gorgeous, but its sure to attract some people. I mean, retired jedi master hiding away in a jedi temple. Kind of defeats the purpose of hiding, doesn’t it?”
The Doctor rubbed at his brow bone, “Do you always have this many questions?”

“Oh, don’t I know it,” Angie said. “I’m thinking about moving downtown if that’ll give me better chances. Though maybe if I had an accent like yours I’d have half a shot.”Or, Peggy's first trip to the Automat.

She refrains from chiding him for his language—for the second time today. He’s right, of course, but that’s the problem. He used to look at her like she hung the moon, like she was a superhero. He used to believe she could do anything. Maybe she wants to earn that blind faith again.
“Come on,” she says, poking his arm like she did back when he was too little to roll his eyes at her. “Don’t count me out just yet. I could always surprise you.”
Mike sighs. He looks at her, and she looks back, eyebrows raised as if to say, Go on. He must realize she's not just going to leave him alone.
“Fine,” he says. He jabs his finger at the illustration. “This is a Demogorgon.”
