Perona ate fast food and the dinners Mihawk made- so why was she being forced to learn how to cook?!

One day, the girls would leave her, the siren call of adventure singing in their veins. She sees it now in the way Nami draws her maps of far off places from dusty old book passages, in the way Nojiko stares at the coastline and wonders about the world beyond in fantastical ways. They’re young, content now with petty thievery and drawing on the living room walls, but that passion will burn and burn until it can burn no more, moving those two towards the horizon to follow.
Bellemere hopes her daughters know that wherever their adventures will take them, this will always be their home to come back to when the candle burns short.

“Uhhh…. Don’t know honestly,” Mondo rumbled, lying through his teeth. He opened his eyes.

Maybe that was where he strayed from the path of so-called justice, or maybe this was destiny. Maybe there was no justice- because why would a world of justice leave him as the sole survivor, a pathetic thing of skin and bones, the bearer of a burden he couldn’t even fathom? The bearer of the memories of so many people he knew and loved, and hundreds more he never even spoke to. Out of all of them- out of capable doctors and storytellers, mothers and fathers and friends of friends- the worthy and the unworthy, they left Law.
Law, who stood next to Donquixote Doflamingo with his face drawn tight as the accursed devil made him a seat at their table, full of vultures and demons and children like him, just beginning their descent into madness. Tragic, some would call it. Unfair, Law called it then.
Life, Law would call it now.
The broken remnants of a past that had long since gone, but the jagged edges of which still cut into his hands and drew blood, red and angry. Revenge, that had been his justice then, and that was his justice now.
