Marcy and the Beckett/Sterling team finish a well thought out mission, and Lance takes the opportunity to complain about how dense Walter is. Cause he's really got a place to talk, don't he.
I mean, they're both kinda dense but Lance is definitely worse and Marcy is sick of hearing them complain about each other and really wishes one of them would just bite the bullet and ask the other out.

Walter is just trying to do his job and make a questionably practical gadget and Lance keeps attacking him with pick up lines. He doesn't know what's going on, he's pretty sure Lance is having a mental break down, but one of Walter's greatest skills is just, going with it.
He also would like to be able to make this gadget though so this is rather inconvenient.

Summary
Killian finds Walter to be such a stark contradiction to all he knows about the HTUV that he fixates on him.
He escapes the final confrontation (movie) with all of Walter’s violence-free combat still fresh and overwhelming in his mind.
Interest quickly morphs into obsession, and the man who spent years meticulously and methodically plotting his revenge against the HTUV has no issue at all reinvesting the same amount of time and energy into getting his hands on Walter Beckett.
