Summary
Wemmbu stayed kneeling at the base of the steps, blood trickling against his chin, breath shallow in his chest, as he stared at the black ink crossing through Highwater’s name while Steampunk City waited untouched beside it. His head swam with the thought of another sky, another crowd of people looking up at him with terror.
Somewhere far away, Egg was still alive. That was the chain around his throat.
And everyone in the room knew it.
Or, a dramatized (and semi-realistic), tax duo centric, canon divergent fic about the recent Civil War arc! :)

Summary
Wemmbu dies during the Civil War protecting Parrot, giving his life to secure Parrot’s future as king.
Decades later, Parrot, Spoke, and Flame have ascended to godhood, while other legends of the war have become immortals and demigods. Peace has finally come to the Unstable SMP.
Yet despite years of searching, the gods never find Wemmbu’s reincarnation.
Because Eggchan found him first.
Wracked with guilt and desperate for redemption, Eggchan hides Wemmbu away from the world. Hidden beyond the sight of gods and mortals alike, Wemmbu grows up unaware of the destiny waiting for him and the people still searching for him.
But no secret lasts forever.
—
OR: Director!Eggchan hides Wemmbu away. Parrot, Spoke, and Flame don’t like that. Unfortunately for everyone involved, neither side is willing to give in.

Summary
Maverick finally crashes after an exhausting day of drills, curled up on a too-big couch in the breakroom. Naturally, his peaceful nap doesn’t last long—especially when Ice gets the bright idea to test just how small he really is. What starts as a harmless experiment turns into a full-blown disaster when Maverick wakes up in Ice’s arms, very confused and very pissed. Featuring dumbass aviators, Goose being the only responsible adult, and Maverick plotting revenge.

Mav is fucking exhausted and can't seem to catch a break.

Zoey loved being a ranger, spending her days patrolling and watching over her own piece of one of the US's beautiful national forests.
Unfortunately, some parts of the forest hide beasts who loom over humans on the food chain.
Fortunately for Zoey, some of them are actually kinda hot.

Summary
Being a lifeguard was not the plan. It still isn’t, really.
Or at least, it isn’t the long-term plan.
But uni isn’t free, and neither is food or housing, so since she has to be here anyways for school at JNU, she figured that at least she’d get to enjoy the beaches.
Plus, with the advanced training she had from her time as a lifeguard while she (ironically) floundered at UCSD, she’d been eagerly accepted into the fold of Jeju Island’s less experienced team.
So it’s not so bad, Dumb Boy and his ilk aside.
And she does get tons of time to explore the island and its various tide pools, which is great for her morale and her research on the effects of global warming on the species in said tide pools. And sometimes, she gets to help some baby sea turtles get to the water, which feels like actual magic.
So, overall, not a bad gig.
Especially since the two (very pretty, oh my god) girls she noticed seem to have taken notice of her, eyeing her up from under their umbrella, the taller of the two not particularly seeming to care when Zoey sees.
‘Interesting.’Zoey is a hot lifeguard. Mira and Rumi are hot for the lifeguard.

Summary
You stand at your desk. the same one you’d built shortly after raising the walls around you. Two others stand nearby, quietly turning pages as they read. Each of them holds one of the journals you’d all found just a couple days ago, their attention steady, absorbed.
In front of you sit the remaining five.
You hesitate.
Each journal bears a name stitched across its cover, but one in particular keeps pulling your gaze back to it. “Redrift.” The embroidery is slightly newer than the rest, the thread still sharp against the fabric.
But it isn’t just that.
The name belongs to a dragon you’ve met before. One you’d spoken to only yesterday.
That alone is enough to make it feel different from the others.
You glance toward the two beside you, exhale quietly, and finally reach forward, choosing the first book you’d found yourself.
Perrin’s.
