Summary
*Formally titled "Deku the Thermo-dynamicist?"*
The four fundamental laws of thermodynamics express empirical facts and define physical quantities (like temperature, heat, and entropy) that characterize thermodynamic processes and systems in thermodynamic equilibrium. They describe the relationships between these quantities.
However, through a quirk lens, Midoriya Izuku only cares for one of these laws:
The first law of thermodynamics states that the total energy of an isolated system is constant; energy can be transformed from one form to another, but can be neither created nor destroyed.
OR
Midoriya has a healing quirk that can heal people using his energy.
But the only way he can possibly transfer energy is by relying on the good old laws of thermodynamics. So he gut punches injured people to 'transfer the energy from himself into them.'
If Midoriya was honest, he would tell you that the unnecessarily complicated comparison of his quirk to the Laws of Thermodynamics, just makes him feel a little less guilty.
