Dark obediently fluttered out his wings for Chosen, allowing him to run his fingers through his wings. "What's for breakfast, though?"
Chosen began to preen them, fixing each feather carefully as he did. He dug his talons into the very roots to unsheathe the pin feathers from the base, shredding the hard, grey-blue tubes with deft ministrations. It felt like peeling bark, or scraping dry paint. However, when the soft fluff of the feathers underneath revealed themselves, a bright crimson instead of the usual dirty maroon, it made up for the unpleasant sensations entirely.
"Pancakes."

Purple was looking more and more panicked, her eyes widening. She edged backward. “It’s not a problem, King,” she said softly, hunching her shoulders. “You’ll never notice I’m-“
“What I’m concerned about is that I didn’t notice!” King waved a hand at her exasperatedly. “Kid, what have you been doing?”
Or: Purple has been hiding the fact that she's an avian her whole life. King plans to help her.

Not all knowledge given is correct. Knowledge learned first hand however...
It’s a strange thing, that most stick have knowledge on the basics of life, the things related to their animation, and maybe a little more about the world, plus some extra fun facts.
On the other hand, Hollowheads only get what their animator intends, sometimes a part of the animators thoughts, knowledge, desires, perspective, skills, and maaaayyyybe a little more.
Chosen is made knowing they should just be an animation, with a program running in the background making them just a little extra, with those if’s and then’s. But they also know they’re more than that.

Summary
The Dark Lord is dead, leaving The Chosen One behind with all her regrets and past actions to deal with. She feels irredeemable, like a crushing weight is constantly sitting on her shoulders, weighing her down until she drowns in the abyss of her own past. So when she finds out Dark's blades were stolen, Chosen sees it as an opportunity. An opportunity to retrieve the last piece of The Dark Lord's bloody legacy and make peace with it once and for all. Yet, for the first time in forever she feels weak, and she's uncertain of facing it alone.
Meanwhile, Red is struggling with his recent experience of death. Dark, agonizing memories can't seem to leave him behind, as he battles with them unsuccesfully. In hopes of repressing those thoughts, he seeks a distraction to ease the loud echoes. Who knew that during the same time, their new ally will once again disturb the peace in their PC, giving Red the perfect occasion he was hoping for.

victim flinches when the pointer changes shape. He braces himself for the cruel torment to begin all over again.
Instead, words appear next to him.
Are you ok?
A spark of anger burns inside him but it is quickly doused. He crumples to the ground, hugging his knees and shakes his head. The animator doesn't respond, forcing victim to drown in the guilt of his own actions.
