Whatever it is, it feels monumental. His mom mutters something beside him but Shane’s eyes are drying out from the force of watching, other senses entirely forgotten. His phone buzzes again, Ilya probably, but even he can’t tear Shane away from where Scott Hunter is kissing a man on his TV.
There is no world in which this is possible, or feasible, or recommended. And here fucking dinosaur Scott Hunter is anyway, kissing this man, putting an arm around his waist and herding him over to the rest of the team.

Something flickers across Rozanov’s face. His jaw twitches. “Yes, I know about Lily.” He raises his eyebrows.
Hayden feels like a complete asshole, all of a sudden. There’s just been too much going on to even think about Shane’s mystery girlfriend. “Shit, I should probably, like, call her, or something? I don’t know this girl at all, but Shane’s been obsessed with her for years. If she was watching the game, she would have seen him get hurt.”
“You don’t need to call her,” Rozanov says, and when Hayden glances at him, he still looks fucking miserable but now he’s rolling his eyes, a much more familiar expression of disdain on his face. “She’s sitting right here.”

"You should leave me," Jaskier mumbles. It takes a second for Geralt to parse out the words, and when he does he feels ice chasing the potion through his veins.
"Stop fucking saying that," Geralt says, and maybe he is angry at Jaskier - not for the injury, never that, but for the idea that Geralt would consider leaving him behind. For thinking even for a second that Jaskier lying abandoned on a battlefield to die is a price Geralt could ever pay.
