“No,” he admitted, slowing to a stop when Rinko sent him a small smirk. “What is it? You look too excited.”
“It’s based off a study done back in the 70s about self-control and delayed gratification,” she replied, watching him shove his hands in his pockets. “Their hypothesis was essentially that with the right amount of distraction or stimuli, subjects would be able to display a stronger sense of self-control. It’s called the Marshmallow Theory because they used marshmallows as one of the options provided."
“What’s your point?” he asked. “You wanting to use me as a fuckin psychology experiment?"
