Summary
The words are stolen from Feliciano’s lips in a terrific rush of joy, his mouth dropping and tears welling up in his eyes as he comes face to face with the brother he’s spent the past four years of his life searching for. There aren’t words in any language he knows that truly express how thankful he is to see him, knowing that all of his effort wasn’t in vain because Lovino is here and he’s alive--!
Lovino, however, doesn’t seem to share the sentiment.
After being rescued from a crew of corsairs, Feliciano is shocked to discover his missing brother is a member of infamous pirate Captain Fernández's crew -- and while they promise to take him back home to his grandfather, he has a lot of things to learn about Lovino before he makes it back to Genoa.

After the sun sets, the streetside bars and restaurants of Spain wake up from their slumber, bustling with tourists and locals alike. Even though Lovino had agreed to join the group for dinner – this is the last night of their little group vacation, so might as well – he's soon grown irritated by all the noise at the table. So he goes outside to catch some air.
Their steps grow slow the further they walk in, the closer they get to the water – lights and sounds of the city dying down as they go.

It was only proper, and of course Lovino Vargas was Antonio Fernandez Carriedo’s best friend, more so than Francis and Gilbert. He couldn’t disrespect his best friend, and especially not his crush’s older brother. Feliciano Vargas deserved to be courted properly, and proper meant asking Lovi for his permission to do so.

It's 1976. Franco has been dead for a year and Spain is beginning to emerge into democratic transition.
Romano comes to help Spain with the annual grape harvest at his sprawling estate in Galicia - the first time he has set foot in Spain since the end of the First World War.
He tells himself it's to escape the turmoil Italy has plunged into since the end of their miracle economy years, but the reality is because he's recently found himself incapable of going more than a week without thinking of his former caretaker and the way things were left since their final meeting at a UN conference almost half a decade ago.

Italy and Japan seemed to lose connection after an unwarranted break up. Despite breaking up, the two desperately feel the need to reconnect, but can't bring themselves too. After a while of silence Italy misses Japan so much to the point where he brings himself to travel to Tokyo without Japan’s knowledge.
