Summary

I look down at my boots, which are not my own.
This isn’t my dream. As the realization comes, I separate from the body and my perspective shifts, including him in it.
I stand next to him and he turns to look at me.
“Violence?” he asks, giving me a once over.
I look at his face, the red veins in the shape of lighting bolts streaked across his face. I meet his eyes, red rimmed and dark.
My heart thuds as if acknowledging its owner’s presence, longing ringing through me at the extended absence.
“Xaden,” I breathe.

Summary
Discovered by the High King, Jude must strike a deal with Cardan in exchange for her life. Now bound to him, she must keep herself together as the hate she feels for him fights against her true feelings. This is an alternative storyline to The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black. Picks up right when Cardan takes Jude to his chambers after she takes Taryn's place at the trial. It is a different version of the story with more Jurdan time (and more spice).
