迈尔斯死死掐住那粗短的颈脖，指尖抠挖、挤压着脆弱的气管。他将身下的瘸子杰克当做超市门口永远不会跑的摇摇马，恶意驰骋。
杰克只能仰着那张硬朗的俊脸，从满脸通红到一片惨白。白沫溢出，双眼失神地翻起，他只是迈尔斯手中一个能呼吸的、任人摆布的零件。
“杰克，你就是一个烂人！烂抹布！张开腿任人玩弄的下妓！”
咒骂声字字诛心，划开他的背脊，露出鲜血淋漓的、脆弱的脊椎。就在杰克以为自己会就此死掉时，一滴温冷的泪砸进了他的腰窝。
耳后传来痛苦的呢喃：“无论你怎么作践自己……无论你有多么下贱……那些因为你而丧命的人都不会回来了……”一个靠着当下妓筹钱做脊椎手术的杰克萨利，一如既往地出现在他常接客的地下酒吧，然后，偶然间收到RDA招揽人才的邀请……这让他想要存钱治疗自己瘫痪下肢的人生忽然发生了不可逆转的变化……
