“Of course,” Karen responded. “What would you like it to say?”
Peter dug the heels of hands into the eye lenses of his mask, elbows planted on knees.
“I quit,” he told her simply only to get a resounding silence in return.
“Your message has been drafted,” she told him dutifully nonetheless. “Would you like to send it? I will remind you that it is three o’clock in the morning.”
Peter kind of wanted to punch something, and he kind of wanted to cry, but instead he just unclenched his jaw long enough to say, “Erase it,” before promptly uncurling from his spot on the fire escape and climbing in through the window.

OR: It's Captain America: Civil War, except a 25-year-old Peter Parker isn't sure which of these things is going to be the straw to break the spider's back.
