Summary
When it came to Daphne, Niles might be a masochist.
Follow-up to the 7.16 tag. Niles returns to Daphne’s room after Martin's interruption and offers to read to her again. He stretches out their time together even though it only raises the likelihood that he’ll slip up and say something he shouldn’t, something like he loves her, like he wishes she weren’t engaged.
He never expected her to slip up first.

Summary
Daphne can’t say if she held out her left hand or if he took it himself. Her thoughts jam up again, and it jumbles up the order of events. Either way, he has a hold of her hand, and Daphne wouldn’t mind if he kept it forever.
“Should I wear the brace on it?”
A ficlet that explains why Daphne is wearing the brace on her left wrist in the tag to 7x16 “Something About Dr. Mary” when it was her right one that was injured in the main episode.

Summary
S7 AU. A couple of months before the wedding… or is it? Daphne ends her engagement only to learn Niles has already remarried. Niles believes both his new marriage and his long-existing feelings for Daphne are a secret. Daphne believes Niles marrying Mel means he’s moved on. They’re both wrong. Can a week alone in a cabin get them on the same page?
Away from it all by Trespaises was originally shared to fanfiction.net during 2003-2004. Unfortunately, the final chapter was never posted, so this is my attempt to give the story closure. Please check author’s note for the link to read the original fic before reading this final chapter.

Summary
It isn’t until Daphne’s getting ready for bed that evening that she realizes she lied to Niles. She didn’t mean to. When she said every person she knew with a soulmark had met their soulmate within a year, she was absolutely certain she was telling the truth. But it turns out, she forgot to include herself on that list of people.
Daphne can’t say the exact day she got her mark, but it must be coming up on two years ago, now. Double the length of time anyone else she knows has had to wait. She’d be rather depressed about that if she dwelt on it at all, but most of the time she forgets she even has a soulmark.
Perhaps that’s why it’s on her back. The universe knows she’ll have to wait awhile to meet her soulmate, and it put the mark somewhere that she can’t see everyday so as not to have the reminder constantly hanging over her head. Unlike poor Dr. Crane. His mark is right there on his forearm. He must be about to meet his soulmate soon — any day now, in fact. The universe won’t be so cruel as to make him wait for ages.
Daphne misinterprets her soulmark's shape, leading to a delayed realization for her and Niles. A Soulmate AU written for the 25th anniversary of ep 7x24

Summary
When given the chance to look through Emily Lake’s belongings, Helena discovers a wide collection of cozy mystery novels. She’s initially skeptical of them — the titles use puns and there are far too many cats featured on the covers — but then the books turn out to be a useful distraction while the Regents debate her fate. They even inspire Helena to explore a new avenue that helps her work through her conflicted emotions.
(aka, Helena discovers cozy mysteries and — slowly — learns to heal after S3)

Summary
I swiped a Big Damn Table of 200 prompts from Live Journal (I might have possibly combined two 100 prompt Big Damn Tables, I'm not really sure anymore). Will I write fics for all 200? Probably not :P But I'm still using it to play around with one-shots when I need a break from my longer WIP(s).

Summary
A season 4/Tenth Doctor era rewrite that reunites Rose with the Doctor a bit earlier and sidesteps the metacrisis/Donna losing her memories. While the main focus is on Rose getting to spend the rest of her life with the Doctor, I'll also be exploring new storylines with Martha and Donna as I guide them to new end games. (For Martha, that will be her quiting UNIT and joining up with Ace's work. Donna's new end game is still up in the air.) In addition to the S4 finale rewrites, I'm also planning a 50th anniversary rewrite, another crossover with Thirteen's crew, and lots of general Ten/Rose goodness. Stay tuned!

Summary
Niles looks out over the two pages of scratched out lines and scribbled notes. He’s no closer to writing this declaration than he had been when he started an hour ago, but at least he’s trying. He tries again.
For years, I have strived to find the words to tell you—
I have admired you from afar—
Like Cyrano—

Summary
She was here. She had chosen him. The thought felt like a fragile dream, dancing on the edge of waking — yet every time he reached for it, it remained gloriously, irrevocably real. She was real. His pulse throbbed, urging him to pinch himself awake from this dizzying illusion, but how could he, when she sat beside him, her presence as warm as his as breath, so undeniably his?
It feels like hearing his name for the first time.
