Summary
Fiddleford knew Ford was a stubborn, annoying wreck when he was obsessed with something. He should have pushed harder and fought stronger and, maybe, if their fight never happened, he would have.
Then there was Stanley. Stanley was rowdy, rude and frank, but he was also caring and fun. He took the difficult task of saving his brother with the rare kind of stupidity that was honestly endearing in a way.
He was ready to go through things the hard way, and McGucket was there to bear witness to it.
or
Stanley meets McGucket after the portal incident and they work together, live together and become part-time nannies for a duo of local kids.
They also make out in the process to keep up the good morale.

Summary
Stan and Ford had been sailing across the seas and oceans for months now. The two brothers (and Bill) looking for the lost temple of Axolotl, a deity that would grant a wish to any desperate soul who pleads.
Stanley Pines doesn't believe in such nonsense, but it's hard to not doubt it when your brother is dating a literal muse from the Olympus. Guess it's going to be another boring day, looking for nothing.
