The end of the school year always came with a cacophony of events that Carson had to navigate like an intricately-choreographed dance. And every year she seemed to forget it all.
Second semester report cards. End-of-year banquet for the softball team. Graduation.
She almost missed it.
She had to run past the reception desk, risking being tackled by security, and burst into the exam room where Greta was already on the table and half-dressed, the technician and Dr. Henry at the ready with the catheter and the vials and the 'go ahead and relax, just a little pressure and a pinch'…
