Summary
Visitors to the monastery are rare. Visitors for Aziraphale are doubly so. It's not quite a surprise that the 'visiting knight' is Crowley, but that Crowley brought a gift with him is a shock - especially as the gift is, of all things, a Bible.

Summary
Aziraphale calls him, "Crowley, my dear," and his hands tangle back in Crowley's hair, sweeping errant curls from his face. His fingertips brush the mark at Crowley's temple. It feels accidental, until Aziraphale's thumb settles back there, stroking, the edge of his nail tracing one of the serpent's twists.
Every few decades, a demon runs into an angel. Half as often, they end up tangled together. This part of the Arrangement is just about not losing it in isolation on Earth. That's all. If sometimes a demon wishes an angel would stay with him until sunrise, well. (Crowley doesn't know it, but all he needs to do is be patient.)

Summary
On their way home from a star-hopping vacation, Aziraphale and Crowley decide to spend a few days at Deep Space Nine. There's holosuites to be rented and good conversation to be had. (Oh, don't the tailor and his dear doctor remind Aziraphale of earlier days.)
But… maybe when you can warp reality through the power of imagination, holosuite games aren't the best double-date activity. For one, Odo would really like to know why there's a car on his Promenade.

Summary
"I can be helpful," Augustine said. He took a long drink of coffee. "I think it's time for me to go. I've spent half of today on subways, planes, and cars."
"You're only helpful when there's something in it for you." Rogan looked over at Nevada. "What did he ask for?"
"Nothing, which I'm pretty sure he regrets now."
Nevada was good for Rogan. It was difficult to admit, because she would have been very good for MII, but she was good for Rogan. Also, she brought Augustine interesting cases even if she didn't work for him. Augustine just wished that when he'd agreed to help in this particular instance, he'd sworn Nevada to secrecy. But he should've known that secrets don't stay buried. Even when they're about stupid college fights.

Summary
"When you called and said someone was trying to kill you, and that you were leaving, I-" Cornelius stopped. Leaned back slightly. He left his hand curled over the back of Augustine's neck. "You understand why I asked you to stay here, right?"
Of course Augustine understands. Augustine understands that he wants something he cannot have, and that he's reading too much into friendly concern. He understands that he's indulged himself in an emotional connection the laws of magic guarantee won't be returned. He understands that taking Matilda and Zeus to the art museum was not the best decision for an afternoon of babysitting, even before he got the call about the death threat.
Cornelius understands some things, too. But it's going to take slightly more to get Augustine on the same page.

Summary
When Augustine slunk back into his dorm room at nearly two in the morning, he should've known better than to assume he was alone. But he was tired, and sore, and had managed to forget that Connor didn't know how to mind his own damn business.
Going to college is complicated. Going to college while sleeping with your best friend is complicated. Going to college, while sleeping with your best friend and trying to hide the evidence of a stupid bar fight - well. Augustine is having the worst Friday night, he really is.

Summary
"Of course it could all be hogwash." Aunt Hilda stood. "Maybe it's just an excuse to make us clean the brass cookware and force Zelda to stomp around in bare feet and throw black beans everywhere."
"Yeah, that part is pretty weird," Sabrina agreed. "I really don't get it."
"They liked black beans in Rome. Best not to question it."
Ambrose has taken a break from hunting Blackwood to visit the Spellman homestead, just in time for Lemuria. A holiday the Spellmans haven't celebrated in years. It involves brass cookware, black beans, and midnight chants. Sabrina thinks it's all a little weird… until the angry ghost shows up.

Summary
"Hello," Aziraphale says. His mouth is doing something knotty, warring between a frown and a rote, polite smile. He fidgets his fingers together and ends up blurting, "When did you - What are you doing here?"
Crowley swirls what's left of the wine in his glass. "Fraternizing, angel," he says, lazily.
Jerry and Osgood landed in London looking for an English Christmas and a few good parties. Aziraphale thought he'd meet up with an old friend, and Crowley thought he'd make some new ones. Neither of them counted on running into each other. Twice.
And Crowley knows what they say about threes. They haven't had a real conversation since the argument in St. James park, but he's going to have it out with Aziraphale once and for all. Even if he has to follow the angel into a garden to do it.

Summary
Nearly a year to the day they averted Armageddon, Aziraphale walked into his office to find a box on his desk. It contained everything that had been in his locker in Heaven: assorted office supplies, a sword maintenance kit (unopened), and the Heavenly army uniform he'd been issued. From the jacket to the kilt.
Aziraphale's never even tried the uniform on before. But, as Crowley nonchalantly points out, nobody's stopping him. And he does make it look good. Good enough for, say… some roleplay involving a righteous angelic lieutenant meeting a captured demonic soldier in his private office.

Summary
"All you need to know," Crowley tells Adam, "is that it's Aziraphale's fault."
"That is actually even more than I need to know," Adam assures them, his expression pained.
In 6,000-odd years, Aziraphale only got discorporated once, and Crowley managed to avoid it altogether. So people should really stop judging them for cramming a bunch of discorporations in over a decade or so. Statistically, they're doing great.
Or: Five times Crowley and Aziraphale got stupidly discorporated and the former Antichrist had to put them back together again. Plus one time they got to fuck.

Summary
"Perhaps we could assist you with the …subjugation… of this angel," Winifred suggested, which made Crowley groan again and Anathema cringe. Aziraphale just rolled his eyes. "You see, I still have a connection to my Book, and I need to bring it back to Hell with me."
"This book? With the eyeball?" Crowley looked at it, and then up at Aziraphale, who smiled at him. The demon turned back to Winifred. "That's not happening."
The Sanderson sisters have been in Hell for some three hundred years and have still not had the pleasure of being introduced to Satan. But Winifred thinks she has a way to rectify that, if only she can get her hands on her Book. Luckily, some angel put it on an unprotected shelf, where it's able to find itself a witch.

Summary
"Can I…?" Adam waits, and when Warlock doesn't answer, he inches forward and slides his free hand around Warlock's back. He pulls Warlock up against his chest. His raincoat shudders in the wind and hits Warlock's sides. "The Antichrist thing, it's just. Reality, it built up to this point, and it expected that, um."
"You'd grind the world beneath your heel."
Adam touches his forehead to Warlock's. "But that was never me."
"Same," Warlock blurts.

Summary
Crawly let his wings vanish, so he matched Aziraphale. "What's the 'something'? The thing Earth has that Hell doesn't?"
Aziraphale stared at him for a long minute. "You actually want to know," he said, and it wasn't a question.
Called to witness the smiting of the Tower of Babel and then to visit Heaven (Michael thinks it'll do him good), Crawly eventually finds himself drawn back to the city he watched destroyed. The second time around it's ruled by a queen, flanked by the most impressive mortal gardens he's ever seen, and is also apparently Aziraphale's new base of operations.

Summary
"Go back to sleep," Cornelius murmured. His thumb moved in an arc over Augustine's bare skin. "It's three in the morning."
"I think I should go," Augustine said, slowly.
Cornelius's hand stilled. The next thing he said sounded significantly more awake than the last. "Is it because Zeus woke you up?"
This thing with Cornelius is… just a thing. It has to be. Anything else is messy, which Augustine does not do. He tells himself this repeatedly, because otherwise having Rogan check up on him and going to Cornelius's house in the middle of the night would mean something more than a casual acquaintanceship.

Dani squared her shoulders and took a deep breath. "I need your help."
"Is your bed on fire again?" Billy asked.
Dani has ended up with a problem she really, really doesn't want to admit to having. And who better to keep her secrets - or to help - than a dead man?

Summary
"Our definitions of fun may be disparate," Aziraphale said, casting his eyes up and back down again. Not quite rolling them. Thank fuck.
Lucifer glanced at Crowley and then back at Aziraphale. "Not that dissimilar," he said. And he grinned at Crowley's breath catching.
It's been a week since Lucifer invited himself to Crowley and Aziraphale's night at the theater. Now a set of very surprising gifts has arrived at the bookshop, along with an invitation-slash-summons to Crowley's flat. Except Crowley refuses to meet the Morningstar in his own flat, so they just … don't go. It even works! For a few days, anyway. Lucifer has plans and he won't be put off from them.

"Are you here to thwart me?"
"You're quite suspicious, for an angel." The smile on the demon's face was almost fond.
A thousand years past Eden and just after the Flood, Heaven sends Crawly to help Noah's family. Who are still bothered about there being only one unicorn, slightly concerned about the single giant serpent dozing by the lake, and have (blessedly) not noticed a third swan.

Summary
"Sounds romantic," Lucifer said, lifting his hand from Crowley to stroke a finger along the slope of Aziraphale's shoulder. He brought his hand up and moved his thumb along the stripe of Aziraphale's neck left bare above his collar.
Aziraphale's breath snagged, and Crowley's with it. He didn't think Aziraphale noticed. He found it hard to start breathing again, actually, even while Aziraphale dug his fingers hard against Crowley's hand.
They'd planned for a quiet night at the theater, but when the usher takes Crowley and Aziraphale to their seats, they find they've been upgraded to a private box. Very much so - Lucifer does like his privacy. He also likes to watch.

"Then… uh…" Crowley tried, failed. "You're here because… uh…"
"To what do we owe the pleasure?" Aziraphale finished on his behalf, immediately cringing at the wild look Crowley shot him.
In the days following the Apocalypse that hadn't and the trials that certainly had, Lucifer informs Crowley and Aziraphale that he'd noticed their little trick. And he is… amused.
