Summary
After failing to retrieve her house relic, Annette Dominic finds herself and her father trapped behind enemy lines as permanent guests at her uncle’s estate. That is, until House Fraldarius makes an unexpected offer.
AU where Annette fails her paralogue and Felix hatches a plan. The fake engagement Netteflix melodrama nobody asked for but (I assume) everybody wants.

Bookmarker's Notes
This one was really, really incredible. I binged it in twelve hours because I just absolutely could not stop, it just kept being incredible the entire way through. I don't think I even went into it a major Annette/Felix fan, I think I was looking for a fic that could give me a good sense of how their dynamic could be compelling, and DAMN, did this fic deliver.
It's basically good on every level that you might hope that it would be good. Fantastic character voices. Manages to be genuinely thrilling and suspenseful the whole way through even though you know that you know how it's going to end. Manages to be thrilling and suspenseful in a way that made me not want to skim or skip ahead even a little bit, ever, because I really really did want to experience the whole thing right there with the characters. Tons of pining and touches that nobody is clear on the meaning of, for surprisingly justified and reasonable reasons, between two characters who desperately want to be good to one another and are willing to sustain any amount of reputational damage and emotional pain to do so. At the same time, though, it isn't just the romance that works - the characters feel really grounded in a whole web of other relationships, both those with the other blue lions and those with Annette's family. I think my favorite side relationship might be the dynamic between Felix and Gilbert, where Felix is willing to risk everything to help Gilbert even while Gilbert believes him a traitor and is dragging his name through the mud.
It was A Lot, and all of it was good. I had a blast.

Duck is the brand new transfer student at Gold Crown Arts Academy and she really likes it so far! She's made new friends, her classes are fun, and she has her very first pair of pointe shoes. She's also been having a lot of weird memory problems since she came to town, but, you know, that's probably nothing.

This is another 'just read this' fic. It's great on all counts, but special mention goes to Razer's characterization. The final scene is really great, too.

Believeable and a little bit heartwrenching, but it's also really sweet how Spike goes about handling the situation. Definitely worth the read.

Bookmarker's Notes
The "Halloween"-based Xander epic that all other "Halloween"-based Xander epics should be jealous of. Basically, old!Xander gets a replay of the vast majority of his life, and he decides he's not gonna waste it. Great humor, great drama, a unique and interesting take on magic in the Buffyverse, and a story that's apparently great enough for me to love it in spite of the fact that it's about XANDER. (I sort of hated him when I read this the first time. I have since learned how to appreciate him, in large part thanks to this story.) Anyways, it's highly recommended, especially if you want to read a good fanfic set during the high school years of the show.
Warnings for character death, violence, and scenes in the future 'verse that made me cry. (It's really not that angsty. I laughed more than I cried. I was easily excitable back then.)
I'm listing it as M for safety, but it's listed as 15+ on INAP, which is really more accurate.

Bookmarker's Notes
In which various characters make fairly good choices, and Buffy gets to be something other than totally miserable during S6.
Notable for containing sympathetic versions of several characters that are easy to bash, for being hopeful without feeling at all unrealistic, and for having an epic climactic scene that I may or may not have re-read a dozen or so times. I regret nothing.
Note: only the second fic is explicit. The others contain some sexual content, but are mostly about the story (the second one has a story too, of course). The third fic is really magnificent, but might be difficult to understand without reading the others first.
