“How is not being able to sleep well embarrassing?” Zayn asked. “It’s not like it’s something you can control. Either you sleep well or you don’t. If you don’t, we figure out an underlying reason and do what we can to help take care of it, yeah?”
“It’s because my bed doesn’t smell like you anymore, alright?” Louis fell back into the couch and covered his face. “Fuck. Sorry. I just… fuck.”
And then he stood up and walked away.
All Zayn could do was sit there and watch him go. He wanted to ask him to stop. Maybe get up and follow Louis down the hall to his room and get him to listen to Zayn. He wanted to tell him it was okay and it shouldn’t be anything he’s embarrassed about, that it was only natural.
But he couldn’t because he was still hearing Louis’ voice in his head saying it over and over again.

Summary

But when they reach their breaking point on tour, what will they do? Is it really all worth it in the end?
It's on days like these when they need to be reminded most where they belong, and that they're never alone.
Cue in Niall Horan, Irish Leprechaun and carefree band mate extraordinaire, who notices his bandmates' plight and wants to do something about it... How can he prove to his four brothers that they're never alone? That it really is worth it in the end?
Well, he tries to fix the problem by doing what he does best naturally- he writes a song for them.
It was during this particular time (out of countless many) that Niall who reminded them who they were, and where they belonged- even on the best and worst of days. He loved them so much, and wanted to remind them where exactly they were grounded, so he put the proof into a song.
