introducing "out by the bearded barley," a modern, girlnavy, spooky season- and "Practical Magic"-inspired terror AU. main title is a reference to the song "kiss me" by sixpence none the richer.
to start: after tragedy strikes the Goodsir-Gore family, solace is sought in the estate and returning to the coven of Francis and Jane Fitzjames-Crozier, in the magical little spot that is the Twin Isles*: Erebus Isle, and Isle of Terror.
*my brain envisions these two as joint isles connected by some sort of bridge. more detailed AU things to follow as this progresses. i'm also being vague about the magic system from jump on purpose, but may flesh it out in more detail as this comes to life a bit more.

When things go terribly wrong, will the group be able to make it out alive?
