Ex Noctem Nihil was the season’s most ambitious performance, produced by a talented set of playwrights and played out by a set of striking actors whose presence could command any chamber’s full attention. The line before the theater was so long that it wound far around the corner even once the house hit capacity, with those woebegone stragglers too foreseeing to purchase their tickets in advance left to sit out in the cold to hear a stray line or the long-held gasp of the crowd inside.
Emet-Selch could not empathize.
