Since when has Atsushi stopped being scared of Akutagawa? Since when has Atsushi started neglecting acting pathetic? What happened?
“I said you’ll be sad when I die,” Atsushi says, with the boredom of stating the weather. “Because you obviously care about me.”

Summary
Akutagawa stops, but he’s too close, too much, to fade into the background. Not now that Atsushi’s spent so long memorizing the way the world fits around him.
Dazai’s next words are a suckerpunch. “You want our little hellhound to choose you.”
If he doesn’t open his eyes, he can pretend the cool trails working down his cheeks are from the wind.
The night is so full, the city never quite sleeping, but in this tiny bubble the silence is a scream Atsushi can’t shut out.
“Maybe,” he says after too long, his voice thick and hollow, “Just once, I want someone, anyone, to give a flying fuck about Atsushi.”

Summary
Ryuunosuke started his channel, originally, as a means to make his sister smile and laugh when they lived in that oppressive house. It grew far beyond that and allowed them to escape, and now it's his means of income: but he has always kept a tight lid on his privacy, separating his personal life from the persona he puts on YouTube and social media accounts.
While struggling to come up with ideas, he clicks on a video on his recommended feed and it leads him to the work of a reclusive musician under the penname Byakko Chain. All Ryuunosuke knows about him at first is his singing voice, his hands, and his guitar.
And those walls come tumbling down.

Atsushi taking him to a restaurant called the Hungry Tiger? A bit on the nose don't you think? After playing a game of chase with abilities, they're both itching to see each other again. Is it a date? Not even they know.

Akutagawa still can't stop thinking about Atsushi, but this time he creates an excuse to go see him. He even finds a way to spend what might seem like an unnecessary amount of time with him. They find a way to make a boring job enjoyable. All they need is each other, it seems.

Summary
It was a ridiculous idea really. There was no way that Atsushi actually had any behaviors of a cat, right? Damn it. Akutagawa wouldn't be able to let it go now.
Or
Akutagawa can't stop thinking about Atsushi and, more specifically, wondering if he actually acts like a cat. It only takes one patrol to find out. Well, one patrol and an ability he can make look like string moving around.
