He let himself out of the solo studio and caught Hualing’s eye over by the counter. “I’ll bring your money in the morning, bitch.”

Summary
Brunch went south about two steps away from the front entrance of Shen Yuan’s favorite cafe; a place with free wifi, big squishy chairs, custom mimosa pitchers, and an endless avocado toast special. He arrived bright and early with his computer bag under one arm and the intention of staking out one of the solo tables in back for the rest of the morning until he’d finished his current editing project.
The project in question was the latest offering from Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky after he broke out from webnovels, so endless mimosas and carbohydrates would be necessary for Shen Yuan to make it through with his sanity and blood pressure intact. Shang Qinghua was late on his most recent draft, but the earliest chapters had been finalized so he could get started on that at least.
However, his phone pinged just as he reached the entrance, and Shen Yuan made the fatal mistake of pausing to check the message.
Shen Jiu: Too late now, but brace yourself. We’re inside. Qi-ge set us both up.
Or: that one where Shen Yuan lost his break up, but Luo Binghe is about to kill it on the rebound.

Summary
Shizun has Binghe hold on to him from behind whenever they’re in the air, and shouts at him to speak up when he attempts to whisper sweetly in his ear. Perhaps he ought to be embarrassed by his failed overtures. He does feel his cheeks heat and his stomach swoop from more than their rising altitude, but it only serves to make Binghe want to squeeze him tighter. A lesson in seduction.
The only man Binghe has ever wanted to please is Shizun, and he will learn to be less clumsy. Shizun will teach him, as he always has.

Luo Binghe wonders what he's done, to deserve such unadulterated attention, today. Like before, he doesn't voice his query, however. He simply rests, and soaks it up, like their uninterrupted time together is a finite resource (and, due to their positions and their roles, it is). It's moments like these that he thinks of, before a battle, during meetings, while he's attempting to rest away from his Shizun on those nights that duty forces one or both of them to be elsewhere, without each other. Moments like these are the ones that he stores in his memory so that when he dreams, his subconscious can spin silk made of pleasantries instead of fabricating broken and jagged pieces of glass that scream terror and loneliness, intent on making him bleed until there's nothing left.
Luo Binghe gets to spend the whole day with his beloved Shizun, and Shen Qingqiu makes him feel perfectly spoiled.

Summary
Shen Yuan has had a push-and-pull relationship with Shen Qingqiu for years. Shen Yuan knows that Shen Qingqiu is meant to be a villain, but he knows just as well that many of the things Shen Qingqiu was accused of in Proud Immortal Demon Way were just shitty misunderstandings, and over the years Shen Yuan has become reluctantly fond of his Shizun.
Abusing Luo Binghe was not a misunderstanding, though, and Shen Yuan will do whatever he can to correct the fact that he wasn't there to protect Luo Binghe when it happened.

Shen Qingqiu tames Luo Binghe just as planned! He tames him a bit too well, though, and now Luo Binghe is in love with him. Whoops!
