    Wade looked across the room at Logan. He was sitting on the couch they’d spent an entire weekend picking out together, Mary Puppins in his lap, Laura perched on the arm to his right, and NTW to his left, flashing his crinkly-eyed smile at whatever Laura was saying. He looked happy.
    Wade’s heart did that flutter thing again.

    He's so pretty.

    If we only accomplish one more thing for the rest of our long existence, I hope it's that we make him happy. He deserves to be happy.

    Only fair to return the favor.

    Out loud he simply shrugged and replied honestly.

    Something weird was going on with Wade.

    He’d been fine this morning, all the way up until they reached the mansion for the mission briefing. Since then, he’d barely looked at Logan, let alone spoken to him.

    He would think Wade was just in a funk, but he sure as hell didn’t have a problem talking to anyone else. He was catty with NTW, bubbly with Yukio, insubordinate with Scott, and real fuckin’ flirty with everyone else.

    Everyone but his actual fucking boyfriend.

    So obviously it was something Logan-specific.

    “What, too good to watch but not too good to listen?” Wade said right as he took his first step. It faltered; he stopped, shoulders tense. 

    He whipped around to glare at Wade again. 

    “The fuck did you just say to me?”

    Fuck fuck fuck stop while you’re ahead. While you have a head. 

    But he couldn’t stop, the words flying out without a thought attached to them. 

    “You heard me. You’ve been hearing me. Nearly every night.”

    Shut up shut up shut up.

    “Wait. You didn’t eat my food again, did you? I mean, I don’t remember putting my name on anything, but—”
    “No, bub. Cooked you dinner.”
    Wade freezes, jaw dropped.
    “You what?” he asks, disbelieving. That explains the smell. He hadn’t even realized until now, but it smells so good. Then, before Logan can repeat himself: “Why?”
    It takes Logan almost a full minute to answer. Shoulders tights, jaw working like he is chewing up the words. Wade thinks he has an inkling, or maybe it is just his stupid hope, no matter, he enjoys letting him stew in it. It is clearly taking a lot, getting it out.
    “What you did last time. Want you to do it again.”
