Or, a tender, bittersweet moment as Shunsui holds Jushiro and offers him a chance to be less optimistic than he shows the world, a chance to fall apart just a little, without judgment. He thinks back on other times they’ve had this same conversation over the years, and all the things he should’ve said differently. He still doesn’t find a way to help as much as he’d like.

Summary
Most people, Ayame had found, reacted in some way to pain. Even if it was slight, subconsciously their reiatsu tended to spike or shiver in anticipation, even without fear. To be so accustomed to pain that it garnered no response at all, that it was entirely expected and unremarkable—that was something they’d never seen before.
Or, one of the Fourth Division's nobodies is tasked with the care of a certain patient, and finds themself intrigued by his unshakably sunny demeanor.
Takes place between Soul Society and Arrancar arcs.

Summary
After the hard road from Weathertop to the Bruinen, Frodo begins to heal with the help of the Elves. Sam, refusing to leave his side, watches the Elves work and imagines all the foreign medicines and foods that must be grown in Rivendell's gardens. The Elven healer who attends Frodo humors Sam's questions and doesn't pressure him to leave his master's side, even brings him food and encourages him to rest—which is strange, because Sam is beginning to suspect the healer is someone rather more important than he'd initially assumed.

Doflamingo's defeated, and Dressrosa is newly free — and Law's hallucinating now. Great. Except...if he's not, then he's got a new reason to hate Doflamingo.
Also, Bepo takes offense to the papers saying he's some sort of mascot for the Heart Pirates. If anything, Roci-san is closer to a mascot, but they've also all decided that if Captain's long-lost guardian is here then he's getting adopted into their found family too.

Ace is having...a really shitty day. It happens, and sometimes you get thrown by little things that you don't expect. Brains are weird like that, not to mention the *gestures vaguely at the trauma and all that fun stuff*. Deuce is doing his best to help - he's seen plenty of days like this, so his best is pretty good. But you can't undo all the tangles at once even with the best intentions, and sometimes the only option is to wait it out.

Nishinoya had cried after he’d ran out of the gym closet at the beginning of all of this: silent, angry tears as he hid behind the club room stairs, pulled his knees up to his chest, and dug his fingernails into his skin. He’d cried again as he walked home from school, just as angry, after somehow holding himself together as he’d watched Asahi turn away from him in the hallway, and as he’d sat in the vice principal’s office.
And now he was crying again - not out of anger this time, even though it burned his eyes and choked up his throat just the same. He wasn’t quite sure what it was this time, actually, but he let Asahi close the distance between them and pull him against his chest. -

Benimaru is tired and a bit blunt but he actually does mean well. He'll complain about it, sure, but he's glad to take on more responsibility for a few days to give Konro a break - the only problem is keeping the twins out of trouble.
