Sylvain could always count on Felix to show up first over the crest of that snowy hill, bundled like some overprotected cargo in furs and goose down. When it was just them, away from even Glenn, they’d clap their mittened hands and marvel at the magic that exploded in the sky over the frozen lake. They’d have a few precious minutes before the rest of their families appeared. No one but them.
So now, with Felix insisting that he could stand well enough to listen to the briefing for the upcoming mission, Sylvain could not help but be resentful of his past self. He could always count on Felix to appear for any challenge. But right now, Sylvain wished that he was less reliable.

An odd research submission begins paving the way to a dangerous inclination bordering on obsession. In a wholly illogical sense, the lingering obsession focuses on his roommate.
A visceral string of events begins, with a temple devoted to the deceased Goddess of Flowers being the epicenter.
