Summary
Isabella could only look on in paralyzed shock as Phineas rattled off questions. What on Earth was she supposed to say??
She HAD admitted her feelings to him, but only because she was terrified to lose herself without ever doing so. (Of course, she’d planned on admitting them earlier in the day to earn her Emotional Bravery Patch, but that seemed like a moot point considering all they’d been through since then.)
Now that the life-or-death circumstances had passed and her adrenaline levels were back to normal, she was struck with an awful quandary:
Reveal the truth of what happened on the water tower, earn the patch for good measure, and risk completely overturning her friendship with Phineas?
Or lie and say she was infected, give up on the patch, and go back to living in a constant state of "what-ifs" for who knows how many more years?

"In approximately two hours we will reach the Hoth System, where a new Rebel base is under construction!" Isabella continued. “I haven't been among your numbers for long, but I can assure you that as your leader I’ll do everything I can to—“
Suddenly, there was a loud rapping on the hatch door. Several girls flinched and began to whisper worriedly, that is, until a hesitant voice called, "Hello? Isabella, are you there?"
Immediately Isabella cringed, heart unintentionally skipping a few beats.
This voice was the very reason that she had been inspired to join the Firestar Girls and fight the Empire, to stand for something other than her own progression. She had the voice to thank for her change of perspective, to give credit to when asked who had inspired her to assist the rebels.
And yet, ironically....it was only this voice that filled her with an inexplicable and urgent longing to stay.

Summary
The school algorithm is designed to assign pairs of peer tutors who are strong in different subjects and will be able to help each other with their homework. According to that algorithm, Tobey can help Becky with physics and Becky can help Tobey in English.
Becky thinks this is obnoxious and loathes the thought of having to go to these peer-tutor sessions.
Tobey, who has been crushing on Becky for the entire school year but has found it much more difficult to get her attention than WordGirl's, thinks this is the greatest thing that could have happened to him.

Ferb Fletcher is a boy genius. He can understand and follow plans at a level far above his level. He doesn't have any real friends, only people who think he's smart. He keeps up the perfect view because it makes it easier for dad. He's lonely and cramped in the tiny room he shares with his pet.

Summary
They’ve spent every summer side by side - inventing, exploring, daring the impossible. But as the summers pass, the games and inventions aren’t enough to distract Isabella from her crush any longer and she drifts away. And for the first time, Phineas is starting to wonder if what's he's feeling is more than just a friendship. While he chases after her, a string many near misses and miscommunication keeps them from being true to their emotions toward each other. Years pass and eventually time will run out.
Each chapter brings them closer to the moment where they perfectly align, all as they face the risk of growing up and missing their moment entirely. Each chapter takes story beats from previous episodes and creates a story arc answering some of the big questions that Act Your Age left behind. This story will bridge the gap between their legendary summer and Act Your Age.
