“Stede,” Mr Gorgeous Brown Eyes says. “Unusual. I like it.” And Stede likes the way his name sounds on the man’s lips. “I’m Ed.”
Ed’s handshake is firm, his fingers warm and a bit calloused, the leather of his fingerless gloves smooth and soft. Stede’s eyes are drawn to the tattoos circling his arm as the handshake lingers maybe a bit too long.

“I would protest spoiling it, but I think it's rather obvious, isn't it?” Stede says. His nose wrinkles as he smiles. “The tension is certainly there from the beginning. It just takes them a while to get there.”

Former local grunge legend Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard of Blackbeard & the Krakens, has fallen on hard times. Following slanderous accusations from ex-bandmate (and ex-lover) Calico Jack, Ed is blacklisted from all his usual venues. His career is over, and, so far as he’s concerned, so is his life. He spends his days wallowing in a dingy Seattle apartment, fighting with his manager and bemoaning his loss of purpose.
Enter one Stede Bonnet, Ed’s obnoxiously loud next-door-neighbor. Stede Bonnet is an overly enthusiastic playwright who cares way too much about Shakespeare and writes like a dandy from the 18th century.
He’s the most interesting thing to happen to Ed in years.

Summary
After a failed marriage proposal Stede Bonnet, soon to be thirty, realizes that he needs to start living his own life, leaving the restricted life his father has planned for him behind.
With help from his friends Lucius (and his various boyfriends), his not quite ex-fiancé and her boyfriend Doug Stede can begin to create his own life and maybe find love along the way.

Summary
When newly divorced and newly out Stede Bonnet is dragged to a rock concert by his assistant, he thinks it will be a fun night out and a chance to be more social after isolating himself. Little does he know, he is about to attract the attention of the legendary Blackbeard, frontman of Queen Anne's Revenge.
Their meet-cute hits a bit of a snag when an incident at the concert threatens the nationwide tour Blackbeard and his band are about to go on, putting Stede under a spotlight he never wanted or asked for.

Summary
Ed never thought he would find his wordkeeper. No one alive would dare say the words inscribed on his hip to him. Not at first meeting. And not if they wanted to keep their tongue. But then Izzy comes back with a message from a new guy on the scene, calling himself the Gentleman Pirate. A message that matches his wordmark. And for the first time in so long, Ed feels intrigued. And then Ed feels a whole lot more.
Too bad he has no idea that Stede was too delirious when they met to remember Ed's first words to him.
