One night, a few days after his death, Tsukasa has an odd dream. A pure white void, with only a voice that he can’t quite recognize speaking to him. It offers him the opportunity to go back. To save Rui.
When he next wakes up, he’s four weeks in the past, four weeks before Rui does it. And now, he’s determined to prevent him from dying again.

An AU where Rui and Tsukasa meet in a “dream” (Rui’s and Tsukasa’s Sekai’s have merged) and become friends. After a horrible event that changes Rui’s entire life (tags), their goals and dreams are too different for their Sekai’s to co-exist with each other, and so they get separated and eventually forget about each other (expect Tsukasa definitely remembers him). However, it just so happens that when Rui enters his new high school, he meets a person that he swears looks familiar.

Rui was born into this world being a genius, but weak. Spending most of his days in the hospital, he wished for strength. That was until a mysterious doctor performed surgery on him when he was seven. Since then, he has been stronger. But he slowly picked up on the strange disappearances of people in Japan. And soon enough, he and his best friend became targets until Rin took them in and they swore an alliance.
They had started to recruit other people, and soon became known as the rebels taking down their corrupt government. They work tirelessly every day to try and keep from more civilian disappearances. All the while, the government is targeting one person in particular: Kamishiro Rui.

This is my own take on the cyberpunk dead boy fics out there! Tsukasa is both a rebel and an idol in this AU, so please take note of the fact that will be written about.
