"Avery... has been acting strange, as well— Maybe, just... It could be a response to what happened with the King." Derek finally muttered, sparing a glance towards the other man, his brows furrowing, yet that gentle spark in his eyes told Regect that there was nothing but genuine concern and worry.
"You couldn't say that like five minutes ago?" Regect hissed through gritted teeth, feeling the tug of Moe's hand on the fur of his back, and he whipped his tail against the floor, pulling away from the clown, and he let his gaze fall back to both of the men a few feet away.
But that's when he saw it.
Somehow, Derek survived— how so? No one is able to tell him, but he won't tell anyone about that, but he's gotten back to Avery. Ze's still wasting away in his apartment, completely isolating himself after the events in the hole— so here they were.

Summary
So, let’s get a few things straight.
1. Mumbo stole Grian’s soul in order to be human again.
2. Grian signed a contract giving him permission to do this, which was very silly of him for not reading the fine print–always read the fine print–and fair play on Mumbo’s part.
3. Grian no longer has a soul.
4. Or does he share one with Mumbo?
5. He doesn’t actually know, and, like, he should probably get on that.
6. Grian is not human, which means this was a very bad idea from the start.
7. Grian now has a problem. Mumbo has a bigger one.In which Mumbo gets a little more than he bargained for when he steals Grian's soul, and accidentally reopens a chapter of Grian's life he's been trying very hard to forget. With Mumbo now in possession of some shiny new Watcher powers, Grian takes the responsibility to teach him how to use them. But it's harder than he thinks when his own past trauma and a too-big moon are looming in front of them.

The heroes had been given their warnings in the past, more chances than Chuuya could count, but they went unheeded. This was just the natural next course of action, especially with a few of their own on the line.

Chuuya is sent to infiltrate UA; Dazai is sent to do the same with the League of Villains. Chuuya is suffering with tedious undercover work while trying to balance a fake family and hero school, while Dazai gets to go off and play villain. So unfair.

Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Grian is a vet. After a chance encounter in the dead of night, during which he accidentally saves a villain from the brink of death, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a world beyond anything he could've ever imagined.
