She didn’t even realize she’d tugged his hair harder until his head was tilted up under her touch, his eyes meeting hers.
And God, he looked ... wrecked.
Like he wanted her so badly, it scared him.
Like he couldn’t believe she was letting him touch her.
Like he was one breath away from falling apart if she told him to stop.
There was hunger there, yes, but also something rawer, something almost achingly sad in his desperate eyes. Belly’s throat felt tight. She didn’t know how to say "don’t stop", how to tell him that she wanted this just as much, maybe even more.
“Belly…?” His voice was low, uneven, like he wasn’t sure if he was awake.
She swallowed hard, her voice coming out barely above a whisper. “Please, Conrad, I need you clos-.”
It was all he needed from her. There was no going back from this moment forward.
