Summary
If it were possible for a person in the world to be completely good, then that person would probably look a lot like Lan Sizhui. Jin Ling hadn’t thought it possible to be so polite or kind or beautiful. That sounded like something out of a myth, a children’s tale parents told their kids and or a fantasy teachers told their students. Something too good to be real.
But Sizhui? Sizhui is good and real and Jin Ling loves him. Sizhui is serenity, is blue on white, clean sleeves and kind smiles. Sizhui holds a fist over his mouth when he laughs (really laughs, not just the nervous sound he makes when he stops Jingyi from punching him—and Sizhui always stops him) and sometimes his eyes will sparkle when he looks at Jin Ling. Mostly in apology, because of something someone’s done again, but also with kindness. Sizhui has kind eyes, warm eyes, eyes that sing to you and tell you you are loved.
Jin Ling wants him to smile so badly it hurts.
