No, that can’t be right. After all, just last week Jamil had seen Kalim’s dead body himself.
But there was no mistaking the boy standing in front of him, his short stature, his white cardigan, and signature smile plastered on his face.
Although, the all too familiar grin didn’t quite reach those garnet eyes.
Jamil quickly stood up from his bed and shifted into a defensive stance, basically muscle memory with countless uses. Though now it was being deployed against the very person it was used to protect.
“Kalim” didn’t speak, it only continued to stare at Jamil, completely still as it stood in the confines of his room until it finally opened its mouth,“I missed you.”

Kalim didn’t even let him finish his lecture before moving his hands to the collar of Jamil’s sweater, pushing him to his direction untill they were standing on the same height, noses touching while both frightened scarlet and gray eyes stared at each other, so close they could feel the warmth of each other shaky bodies.
“Kill me, Jamil! KILL ME!!” He growled, shaking Jamil by the collar of his clothes back and forth. “Make this easier for you! Isn’t that what you want?! I know it is!”
Where Kalim and Jamil finally talk after the overblot, but not in the way they expected it to happen.

Ace, lying on his bed, looked up from his uninteresting deck of cards. He raised an eyebrow, a slight mocking smile forming on his lips.
“What? You've finally decided to confess your love to me?” His tone was light, almost playful, as if he were expecting one of those usual jokes. But Deuce didn't seem to be joking, and his face, flushed, seemed to make the redhead twitch.
Deuce approached, hands trembling, and sat on the edge of the bed, his gaze fleeing Ace's. “H-hum... Well, actually... Yes. I-I do believe that... that I've finally fallen in love with you... I love you Ace.”

Summary
It can’t end like this. Atsushi has mere minutes left, maybe less, and he can’t die listening to Akutagwa’s scolding and insults. Comfort has never come easily to Akutagwa, but he has to try. Atsushi deserves that much, at least.
But Akutagawa can’t think of what to say. He can’t tell Atsushi that it’s fine, that he’ll be okay, or any of those trite, hollow reassurances. It’s not okay, and perhaps it never will be again — not without Atsushi.
In his last moments, bloody and painful though they are, Atsushi deserves better than lies. So Akutagawa instead settles on the deepest truth he knows. Perhaps, here and now, the only truth.
“You can’t die, you useless overgrown cat,” Akutagawa snarls, half-choking on a sob. “I love you, so you can’t die. Not when I love you.”
Thinking Atsushi is dying in his arms, Akutagawa confesses his love, knowing he’ll never have another chance.
But of course Atsushi, always the thorn in Akutagawa’s side, does something wholly unexpected.
He survives.

Summary
The air was thick with grief, but someone didn't care. Standing by the edge of the field was a cloaked man, silently watching, their violet eyes exposing the calculated cruelty that lurked within. Akutagawa's composure crumbled as he clutched Atsushi's body, letting out screams of sorrow as tears flooded down his face, each drop a testament to the pain that gripped his heart. Violent sobs wracked his body, each convulsion a painful reminder of the part of him that had been cruelly ripped away. In the quivering embrace, fingers clutched desperately at the still form, as if hoping against hope to breathe life back into the lifeless.

Atsushi is hit with a mysterious ability that starts a 50-day countdown to his death.
