Summary
Nightmare was in the middle of speaking to the murder trio when he felt it, the distinct feeling of despair that was overwhelming. It was something he had felt before ending up with the three of his cohorts- wards- no, the better phrasing these days would be 'his boys'. He was the oldest by a few hundred years, and they were like children, but in adult form.
Anyway, it was that exact feeling that had drawn him to each of them, with Killer it was despair mixed with overwhelming guilt. With Dust, it was an emptiness that had come along, just knowing the human was no longer interested in resetting after Dust had murdered over and over, letting him drown in it. With Horror it had been an overwhelming hunger that had caused overwhelming food anxiety that took forever to get under control.
This- this despair was like that, but there was a sadness, a loneliness, and he could taste it more than any other form of negativity right now. It was the strongest feeling throughout the multiverse and it was calling to him, practically screaming at him.

Summary
Ex-Military soldier Greg, now “Dog Man”, has been trying to clean up the streets of Ohkay City ever since he was “relieved” from duty, having been turned into a hybrid combining his dog head and his handler-Knight’s-body while overseas. While dropping off a criminal he injured near the only hospital farthest from the police precinct, he’s approached by a small orange tabby kitten who won’t leave him be.
Petey is a surgeon at one of the hospitals of Ohkay City, working his hardest to support himself and his son. So what’s one cat to do when his son goes missing and his coworkers tell him a monster took him?!
A little white lie turns half a city upside down but brings a torn hybrid and an overworked father together in very unlikely of ways.
Too bad the people from Dogman’s past won’t allow him to finally live in peace.

No, Steve Harrington has a dark past he's desperate to escape, however that gets much harder when Will Byers goes missing and Steve just can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong in Hawkins, something that's pointing straight to his past. But everything will be fine, right? All he has to do is pretend everything is normal.
