“So, is this what we are going to do now?” He calls out into the quiet of his bedroom. “Are you just going to pop in whenever an old-fashioned vamp’ wants to tear my throat out for airing out dirty laundry or whenever I get hurt?”
The shadows remain still for a moment, and Daniel can almost convince himself that he’s already starting on the Louis-style hallucinations when Armand manifests.
“If you were aware of your surroundings, then I wouldn’t feel the need to intervene at all.” Armand says, but his eyes are not meeting Daniel’s own. They are focused on the blood pooling on the ground, on Daniel’s arms.
