Tony hesitantly moved his hand to curl his fingers around the back of his neck, biting his lip as he contemplated his next move.
“What can I do, kid?” He asked carefully. He leaned forward to get a better view of the kid’s face, but Peter kept his gaze stubbornly focused on the carpet beneath their feet.
“Just- just be here, I guess..." Peter muttered hesitantly, tugging the sleeves of Tony's hoodie so they covered his hands completely. And Tony couldn’t help the rush of affection he felt, which he promptly covered up by clearing his throat.
"As if I'd ever leave." He scoffed in mock offense. He wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him close to his side.

Summary
Tony had only ever had one nightmare about his Ironman suit turning against him. Even then it had technically been his father in the suit, not the suit itself. Talking down to him. Ridiculing him. Telling him he wasn’t worthy of even wearing it. Fairly typical as far as nightmares go for someone with daddy issues. So when he heard his Mark 47 suit power up on its own behind him in the garage late one afternoon, there was a split second in which he assumed he was simply having another odd insecurity-fueled dream.

Someone hacks into and gains control of one of Tony's suits, and for the first time he regrets putting a tracker in Peter's suit.

“I’ve seen the math,” Peter said cautiously, “and I understand the science. It’s not possible to change the past. Any attempt to manipulate past events will only result in alternate realities being formed. It won’t actually change anything in your own timeline. It can’t.”
“Certainly not when using Pym Particles,” Strange agreed, nodding, “But the time stone works outside of such restrictions. The Infinity Stones each control an essential aspect of existence. Thanos was able turn half the universe’s population into dust because combined the stones allowed him control over existence itself. The time stone offers its user the ability to manipulate time in ways that work outside of natural law.”
For a moment, Peter didn’t get it. He furrowed his brow and opened his mouth to ask another question before suddenly it clicked and his eyes widened.
“You’re saying we can rewrite the timeline,” Peter breathed, mind swirling with the possibilities.

Summary
Peter flaps a hand in the air, grasping for words. All he’s left with is the thought that’s been running through his head all night: “There was this dilapidated building out near Hell’s Kitchen, rotted all the way through, and I kept staring at it and thinking, This thing could go down at the smallest breeze.” Peter gestures at the roof over their head. “Even this apartment could go down easily enough.”
May rubs his hand. “Buildings don’t just collapse, Peter. Did something happen to make you worried about that?”
Peter shakes his head. He doesn’t ever give her details. He doesn’t tell her about the intimate, gnawing kind of horror that came with being trapped beneath a collapsed building and knowing no one was coming to save you; the way it felt like his bones were being ground into the damp cement; how he’d felt small and very soft, and how his thoughts keep going over the components of a building—rusted metals, long nails strong enough to jut through cement—and how that might’ve pierced him if he’d moved wrong, like a fork pulled through slow cooked meats.
(Peter learns to cope and communicate with the people around him, post-Homecoming.)

Peter stared at Tony. He was sure his face was doing something ugly because of the effort it took him to keep himself from downright sobbing.

There's a moment of silence which he just spends trying hastily to control the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside him, and he nearly jumps out of his skin when he feels May's hands over his own. She gently curls her fingers around both his wrists, carefully prying them away from his face. “Oh, kiddo…” She breathes out, voice laced with deep sympathy as she laces her fingers with his own.
Peter inhales shakily, a harsh whimper escaping his lips at the action. "May…" He chokes out desperately through the unshed tears that are burning behind his eyes.
He can hardly breathe now, icicles pushing their freezing tips straight into his lungs, and he distantly wonders how he can be standing on solid ground and still feel like he's drowning.

It's only been a couple of months since the multiverse fiasco that completely changed Peter's life. He had to label it specifically as the multiverse one considering the amount of other fiascos that had also turned his life into complete mayhem, though the teenager was pretty sure this was the biggest mess so far.
After all, he was seventeen, broke, working two jobs on top of being Spider-Man, and he was alone. So, so alone. He'd given up trying to tell anyone from before about their lost memories. They didn't need him. MJ and Ned would be off to MIT in the fall and Happy would do just fine on his own.
Yeah... Peter didn't need to bring them back into any of this.

...In other words, Stephen accidentally brings a very alive and violently concerned Tony Stark back into this reality. As the only person that remembers Peter Parker, he is the only person capable of patching the kid back together.

He should say something. Anything. Use your words, Parker. There are a thousand things he wants to say, a thousand things he’s never gotten the chance to, and every single one of them dies on his tongue. Peter can’t breathe, can’t move. He’s paralysed in complete, abject terror.

Summary
It’s been months since Rasputin and Disappear-O the Magnificent almost sent Tony and the others to a watery grave. Things have been pleasantly looking up since then. For starters, Tony felt as close as ever with the kid. Of course, trying to distinguish the difference between normal teenage angst and something else that could be seriously wrong with his protege was proving to be...a challenge. And walking into the kitchen to find the Winter Soldier eating his food was not helping.
Meanwhile, Peter has a whole new school year to look forward to. And with the addition of old friends popping back into his life, he was sure things could only get better from this point on. Sure, sleeping was a little rough lately, but no big deal. And he really needed to figure out how to remove this black slime from his backpack. But yeah, everything’s great.
Things were great. Totally great.
Although, now that he was being honest with himself, Peter was feeling a bit sick lately. And for real, what was with this black slime?
(Or: OsCorp is inadvertently ruining everyone's lives and Tony is done with this B.S.)

One: the world now thinks he is responsible for the attack in London. And Prague. And Venice. And the murder - murder; as if the man is really dead; as if the universe is kind enough to let that happen - of Mysterio.
And two: the world now knows who he is.
