Summary
Dipper Pines grew up an only child in Gravity Falls, Oregon. Abandoned by parents that he didn’t know and that his Great Uncle refused to tell him about. Eventually he learned to stop asking and set his sights on the mysteries around him.
Mabel Pines grew up similarly alone in Piedmont, California. A place much less accepting of other’s eccentricities. Her whole life, she’d felt like only half of a person, that she was missing something big. Mabel vowed to fill the empty hole in her heart by any means necessary.
When it turned out that she was right, discovering Dipper’s existence while working on a school project, Mabel decided that there was only one solution! Running away to chase down the long-lost twin brother she didn’t know she had, and making it her ultimate goal to befriend him! As she’d put it, any relationship can be fixed with enough glitter glue!
