Izuku sat on the floor of his room(the ground dug into his bones that way) and held perfectly still. None of his limbs touched each other, carefully distanced.
His eyes watered and he bit his lip, before reminding himself and stopped, focusing instead on the music blasting in his ears. He ached for the relieving sting of something. Anything. It would soothe the fucking mess in his head. The music didnt cut it. (Ironic choice of words)

You're not stupid. You can see the way stardust has been acting lately. How he lights up just a little more when he sees you under the tree, starts walking just a little faster, how their smile gets just a little more real. The way he ducks his head to hide in the collar of their cloak when you call them stardust, as if it’s a sweet pet name and not an inside joke for an audience of one. The light dusting of blush that rises to his face when you say something that implies you might care about him, even just a tiny bit.
You really should try and discourage their feelings. They'll fade eventually anyway, and it'll be easier for both of you if you just. Make him stop liking you, rather than waiting for it to happen on its own.
You can manage that, right? How hard could it be?
