Summary
Hawks manages to keep his baby a secret from Dabi for a grand total of two months. Once Dabi finds out about him, he starts coming around a lot more often, usually at night. These are snippets of their time together.
Hawks smiles as he helps him to stand on wobbly feet, both thumbs lost in a tight-fisted grip. Toma coos at him and Hawks coos back. To his surprise—and Dabi’s, judging by the look on his face—Toma then turns and makes the same sound at him.
Dabi huffs a breath and reaches out a hand to stroke over Toma’s fuzzy head.
“I don’t know how to make that sound, kid.”

Summary
Ryan and Shane have been moving around something that is coming to a head between them. After a car accident, on the way to an investigation, Ryan slowly starts to become suspicious that Shane might not be what he seems. He realizes, though, that he just might not care.
Shane sits forward suddenly. “Hey, pull over up here.”
Ryan follows the instruction without questioning it, which probably says something about either his willingness to listen to Shane or his sanity. Maybe both; they go hand in hand. He puts on his blinker, even though they haven’t seen another car in a couple of minutes, and pulls off onto the shoulder.
“Are you gonna puke or something?” he asks, putting the car into park, as Shane takes off his seatbelt with one hand and tugs off his Ray Bans with the other.
“You better hope not,” he murmurs as he leans over the center console and kisses Ryan solidly on the mouth.

jungkook can’t see the screen of his phone through the rain, through his tears, through his soaking wet hair hanging down into his face. he tries to wipe at it with the sleeve of his shirt, but that’s heavy and sodden with rain water too, so all it does is smear the wet around.
“what,” he says when he answers, sure it’s one of the other hyungs, home now and wondering where he’d gone.
“where are you?” he’s asked, just like he’d thought he’d be, but it’s jimin’s voice on the other end of the line.
“what do you care?” jungkook counters, covering the phone with his hand so he can try to clear his nose. he’d rather die out here than have jimin hear him crying over him.

Kageyama shoves Hinata under the shower spray to hide his embarrassment, which just earns him a delighted snicker. In truth, he does… sort of want one. He likes the way that they look, likes the way that Hinata’s in particular looks across his tanned back. But also the thought of sitting still for an indeterminate amount of time with a needle scraping across his skin is not at all pleasant.
“You can get a small one!” Hinata encourages after he pops back out of the spray. “Match my one!”
“… In what world is this small?” Kageyama demands, bewildered, splaying one large palm across Hinata’s back. Even that doesn’t quite cover the full spread of the ink.
Hinata shivers under his touch. “Not that one.”

Yixing doesn’t think about how his skin feels bare, cold without Jongin’s touch; doesn’t think about how frustrated and pointless he feels when he isn’t under Jongin’s warm, watching gaze; when he’s dancing across a floor or stage in directions that he can’t think of as ‘away from Jongin’ or ‘towards Jongin.’
They finish the change and get back out there; the two of them bracketing the entire arrangement onstage; at either ends of the platform but looking to one another often, their eyes locking like this is what they were looking for, when in reality Yixing tries as hard as he can to look anywhere else.
They’re counterparts, he and Jongin. Two ends destined never to meet, rarely set to so much as share space.
Yixing measures the space between them carefully, constantly.
