Summary
The Whispers & Wonders Exchange provides the service of secret pawning for a fair price. It is a lucrative business, beneficial for both the pawner and the broker: by pawning their whisper, the customer relieves themselves of the burden of their secret, which the broker can then sell, should the loan not be repaid and the whisper reclaimed in due time. As the only secret broker in Seoul, Taehyung is certain that no whisper can be more gruesome, peculiar, or scandalous than the ones he already owns.
That is, until chaebol successor Jeon Jeongguk walks into his shop, hoping to pawn his whisper — a secret so monumental, he asks to pawn it in seven installments, one piece of the secret for each year he kept it.

"Because I love this place and I love the way it makes me feel.” Seonwoo looks at him. Heeseung arches a brow at him.
“Like I matter,” Seonwoo adds, leaning towards him. “Living in places like this makes me feel like I have a purpose.” He tilts his head back and looks up at the clear, cloudless blue sky. It won’t be long before the sky stops looking like this and instead is constantly crowded with gray, overcast clouds as the weather turns and fall moves in. “You can’t see the stars in the city with all the light pollution, but you should try it while you’re here. Looking up at the stars can make you feel so small but living here reminds me that there’s a place in the world for all of us.” Seonwoo looks at Heeseung again, who looks caught between unsure and intrigued. “And mine is here.”
“You think so?” Heeseung asks.
“I know so,” Seonwoo replies.
