"Where's your brother?" James asked.
Regulus grimaced.
"I don't have a brother," he said stiffly.
"Don't give me that shit, Regulus," James said, "Where's Sirius?"
Regulus was stiff and silent, his mouth a thin line. Nott sniggered behind him.
"You heard him, Potter," Greengrass said, "He doesn't have a brother."
Remus didn't like the sound of that.
Remus and James last saw Sirius at Kings Cross at the end of the last school year. After the events of Fifth Year, they weren't expecting to see him all summer.
Now it's September 1st, and Sirius still hasn't appeared.
Something has happened to him. Remus and James are determined to find out exactly what.

"Sophie, Sophie, I think I'm dying". Sophie jumped up, hair standing on end. She looked over at Howl who was grasping at his chest and staring at her with wide, scared, eyes.
Sophie sat up and wrapped her arms around him. She didn't say anything.
"I think I'm dying, Sophie," Howl said again, "Tell Calcifer he can eat my favourite coat, and give Michael all my books, and for you Sophie, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

Jaskier told himself it was the suffering that made his music better and he would say as much to anyone he met.
The miles he had trekked to this new place were a reminder of the long road to success, the lack of interest from the crowd showed their inability to appreciate talent when they heard it and frankly the mugging at the end of the night would be a good song one day.
At least, that’s what Jaskier told himself as he was punched in the face for the second time.
