Summary
Katara knows three things as absolute truths: she tolerates working night shifts at the hospital, her brother Sokka will never stop interfering in her life, and the jasmine tea from the corner coffee shop is the only thing capable of making the world feel bearable after hours in the emergency room.
At least that was the case until the new barista showed up. Zuko is reserved, intense, and completely unsuited for customer service. Katara ought to find him irritating. Instead, every time his golden eyes meet hers, it leaves her with the unsettling impression that she has been missing him for far longer than they have known each other.
Meanwhile, the nightmares that have haunted her for years are becoming sharper, more real. And for the first time, she feels as though someone is trying to reach her within them.
(Or: Katara is forced to question the emptiness beneath her carefully constructed routine, and whether a stranger is disrupting her reality or trying to save her from it.)

Summary
When Zuko was thirteen, his father attempted to kill him by the command of Firelord Azulon, burning through half of his face with the fiercest flame he could conjure. When Zuko failed to die, Ursa begged for her son’s life in exchange for the Firelord’s. She fled with her children after delivering counterfeit poison to Ozai and they hid among the refugees of Ba Sing Se.
A baby was left at their door when Zuko was seventeen, from an encounter he could not recall. His mother wailed harder than the newborn infant when she found out about his work as an escort. He quit that day, and named his daughter Izumi.
At twenty-three, Zuko meets Katara and Sokka, who both fled their homes as children to seek refuge from the raids of their tribe. However, Zuko meets them in very different circumstances: Katara as a trainee at the strip club he works at, and Sokka as his daughter’s teacher at Ba Sing Se Primary School.

Summary
When Sokka moves from Alaska to Massachusetts, his life changes course the moment he comes in contact with his new neighbors. Sokka goes through and feels emotions he never expected.
He definitely doesn’t expect to befriend Zuko, a quiet, angry boy who makes Sokka feel how he’s never felt before.
Together, they’ll show each other what love feels like, and how close that is to pain.
All Zuko knows how to do is fight. It doesn’t matter if the love heals or burns; it’s all a fight, a fight he can’t win, but he can’t give up.
He doesn’t know if he can trust this new stranger with bright blue eyes and a far too trusting smile. Zuko already has a life, a life with Zhao. And Sokka threatens all of that.
The feeling of love and desire, creates such impossible happiness, but it is all-consuming, putting Zuko and Sokka in danger. To be around each other is to risk their entire lives.

Summary
Azula is returned to the palace two years and a half to the day that she left it. The Sages escort her to the steps as if she’s a child in need of hand-holding, and then leave her there as if an idiot has told them that she can be trusted alone.
She’s left waiting only a moment before the doors open, and there’s the idiot himself.
“Azula,” says Zuzu. Ridiculously, he’s smiling.
More ridiculously, she feels her mouth nearly pull into its mirror. It doesn’t, of course. She has far too much self-control for such a display.
But it is an almost-thing.
or: azula and zuko, and how to live when the war is over and the shadows in your home have gone.

Summary
When Zuko meets a cocky would-be terrorist on the ferry, he would never have imagined that he would end up losing his first kiss, first love, and first heartbreak to him.
When Jet meets a scarred, solitary teenager on the ferry, he absolutely imagines it will end in one of their beds, not that his beliefs will be tested to their breaking points.
Neither is prepared for what the future has in store for them.
"Please."
"Say it again. Please what?"
"Please… don't kill me. Please."
"Say my name. Let me hear it."
The blade is pressed harder against his skin, draws the littlest bit of blood.
"Please don't kill me… Jet."
