“I—I thought we were playing house?!” Ruggie tried to take off the veil Cheka placed on his gala couture flower crown. “Th-this wasn’t what I signed up for!”
Kalim laughed as he stopped his fellow sophomore from taking off the veil. “Let me take that off for you, habibi—”“WHAT?!”
“B-but Cheka wanted to officiate a wedding! So…” Soft, unblemished hands cupped Ruggie’s flushed face; hesitant yet determined garnet eyes gazed into his soul as Kalim subconsciously pursed his lips. “So just this once, let’s…let’s kiss, okay?”
