The fucker actually winked at him. Ed nearly scoffed at first at how ludacris this situation was, but instead grinned in spite of himself. He was head over heels in love with this maniac, there was no denying it. Stede scurried over to the bathroom and Ed just tried to settle the butterflies in his stomach.

    After a really rough patch of weather, Stede offers to pamper his boyfriend. Edward Teach is a metaphorical 6 foot tall cat, so of course he loves the attention.

    Ed is perfect.

    “Look at that. You wear fine things well.”

    A gentle smile is all Stede can manage. There’s no way that his heartbeat isn’t audible on the deck. Edward really is stunning. He wears everything so well because he is the finest bit of the ensemble. Stede isn’t sure why he suddenly feels so nervous but he hopes desperately to salvage a bit of the evening for Ed so he doesn’t go off to bed too upset. Yes, he just wants his beautiful friend to have a nice evening is all.

    Ed lets out a little huff and then looks up at Stede with his enormous, moonlit eyes.
