“It’s a fixer upper. Good bones!” Stede fixed him with a smile that warmed him through.
If you had shown Ed this house a month ago - hell, even a week ago, he’d have told you that there was no way in hell he was going to live here. Put the time and effort into mending the gaping roof, patching and painting the walls, doing…whatever the hell else fixing a house required. But as he and Stede stepped inside, even as the rotten stench of some dying animal hit his nose, he intertwined his fingers gently with Stede’s.
It wasn’t just the house that Stede was talking about. Wasn’t just the house they were going to put work into. But Ed was ready.
Ed and Stede repair the seaside shack, and learn how to build a home along the way.
