Physical contact may be a rare occurrence between them but it happens – brushes of fingers as they trade off equipment, crammed into neighbouring seats in UNIT transports with sides and thighs pressed together with the small spaces, all those perfectly normal moments where two people come together or glance off one another. None of those instances have affected Osgood quite like this.
Kate’s fingers close round Osgood’s wrist like steel rods, holding her hand in place just inches from the mysterious slime such that she has no choice but to stop and wait. And Osgood thinks –
Oh, she’s strong.
